​As the 2025/2026 football season approaches, clubs worldwide are unveiling their new kits, blending tradition with modern design elements. One notable release is Arsenal's away kit, which reportedly draws inspiration from the club's iconic 1995/96 blue shirt. Designed by Adidas, the kit features a modern take on the classic zig-zag pattern in dark and light blue, evoking nostalgia among fans. ​

 

Liverpool has entered a new multi-year partnership with Adidas, marking the third collaboration between the club and the sportswear brand. The deal, valued at £300 million, includes a flat fee of £30 million per season with additional royalties that could raise the total to £60 million depending on sales and on-pitch performance. The partnership officially starts on August 1, 2025. However, Liverpool will continue using Nike kits during pre-season before donning the new Adidas kits for the 2025/26 Premier League season commencing on August 16. ​


In the United States, New York City FC (NYCFC) is celebrating its 10th anniversary with new uniforms inspired by New York City's iconic skyline. The new home uniform, named the "Excelsior Kit," reflects the glass and steel aesthetics of the city's skyscrapers and features a commemorative patch indicating "New York City Football Club since 2015." The jerseys have received positive feedback from players and fans alike. ​


 

Nike is set to release five new teamwear designs for the 2025-2026 season: Gardien VI (goalkeeper), Precision VII, Strike IV, Striped Division V, and Vapor V. These kits feature varied designs, including a halftone gradient on the Gardien VI and an abstract graphic on the Precision VII. Available in multiple colorways, the jerseys retail between $37 and $77 USD, catering to a wide range of teams and fans. ​

 

In Australia, the national teams have unveiled new playing kits featuring a bold redesign by First Nations artist Reko Rennie. These kits replace the traditional gold with a fluoro zigzag pattern and black as the secondary shirt color, incorporating the Aboriginal flag for the first time. This design represents a blend of Australia's cultural heritage and modern football, symbolizing the nation's football identity and ambitions globally
