Manchester City, in partnership with PUMA, has revealed the top 10 final designs for their 2026-2027 third kit. This innovative project allowed fans worldwide to submit their creative visions using PUMA's AI Kit Creator tool, an advanced platform where users could craft designs with a variety of customization options and intuitive controls. The initiative attracted a massive global response, with nearly 180,000 entries submitted, highlighting the passion and creativity of Manchester City supporters. This groundbreaking approach to fan engagement has set a new standard in blending technology with football culture.

The shortlisted 10 designs represent a diverse range of inspirations, each reflecting unique aspects of Manchester City’s identity and global appeal. From futuristic geometric patterns to tributes to Manchester's industrial heritage, the final designs capture the essence of the club while showcasing the individuality of the designers. The creative themes also include homages to the city’s skyline, cultural landmarks, and iconic sky-blue heritage. Each kit is a testament to the deep connection fans feel with the club, as well as their desire to leave a lasting mark on its history.

To determine the winning design, Manchester City has opened voting to the public. Fans can cast their votes on the PUMA AI Creator platform, with the voting window remaining open until January 29, 2025. The design that garners the most support will be announced as the official third kit for the 2026-2027 season. The winning designer will enjoy a VIP trip to Manchester, a framed signed kit, and a host of exclusive rewards. The other finalists will also receive signed memorabilia and VIP matchday experiences, ensuring that their contributions are recognized and celebrated.

In a parallel effort, Manchester City’s goalkeepers Ederson and Stefan Ortega have also collaborated with PUMA to create a bespoke AI-designed goalkeeper kit. This unique kit, inspired by the intricate patterns of goal nets, will debut in a men’s match against Chelsea and a women’s fixture against Aston Villa on January 25, 2025. It marks the first AI-created goalkeeper kit to be worn in competitive matches, further demonstrating the innovative strides the club and its partners are making in sports apparel design. Limited editions of this kit will be available for purchase exclusively at City Stores.

This fan-driven project highlights Manchester City’s commitment to embracing cutting-edge technology and fostering deeper connections with its supporters. By empowering fans to participate in the design process, the club has created a memorable initiative that bridges creativity, technology, and tradition. The 2026-2027 third kit will not only represent the players on the field but also serve as a symbol of the fans’ passion and influence, reinforcing the bond between Manchester City and its global fanbase.
