​In celebration of the historic Reconquista de Vigo, RC Celta has unveiled a special edition jersey inspired by the club's centenary anthem, "Oliveira dos Cen Anos." This anthem, composed by Spanish rapper C. Tangana, has garnered international acclaim, including three Gold Cannes Lions awards in 2024. The jersey embodies the pride and identity of Vigo, incorporating significant city symbols such as the olive tree, the Celta crest, and the San Sebastián Castle. Additionally, it features the city's flag on the back and a verse from the anthem discreetly placed inside. ​

Designed in collaboration with Hummel and Late Checkout, the jersey showcases a unique velvet-like finish and an exclusive typography developed specifically for this edition. A goalkeeper version has also been created, ensuring that all players can partake in this homage to Vigo's rich history. The unveiling of this special kit is set to occur during the match against UD Las Palmas, providing fans with a visual representation of the club's deep-rooted connection to the city. ​

This limited edition jersey is restricted to 1,809 units, a deliberate nod to the year 1809 when the citizens of Vigo successfully expelled Napoleonic troops, an event commemorated by the annual Reconquista celebrations. The jerseys will be available for purchase starting March 31 through select stores and RC Celta's new e-commerce platform, offering supporters a chance to own a piece of this historic tribute. ​
