Special Düsseldorf Kit Resembles Infamous Japan Fake Kit

Fortuna Düsseldorf, a prominent club in Germany's 2. Bundesliga, has a history of unveiling special-edition kits that pay homage to various aspects of its heritage and local culture. In recent years, these unique jerseys have garnered attention for their distinctive designs and collaborations.

In March 2022, the club released a special-edition kit in collaboration with local artist Jacques Tilly. This Adidas jersey featured a hand-drawn graphic depicting well-known landmarks of Düsseldorf, such as the Sankt Lambertus Church and the Tonhalle, celebrating the close connection between the club and the city. The kit was worn during a Bundesliga 2 game against Hamburg on March 19th of that year.

The following year, in March 2023, Fortuna Düsseldorf unveiled another special kit honoring club legend Paul Janes. This Adidas jersey showcased a white torso with red sleeves and a red round neck collar, reminiscent of the design worn during Janes' era from 1933 to 1951. The shirt featured a large red "F" badge in the center and was complemented by red shorts and white socks, evoking a sense of nostalgia among fans.

In March 2024, the club introduced the "Altstadt" (Old Town) special kit, paying tribute to Düsseldorf's historic old town. This Adidas jersey was predominantly black with gray block stripes featuring patterns inspired by old-town paving. Neon red accents, including the club crest and Adidas logo, added a modern touch, while the word "Altstadt" was emblazoned on the back, symbolizing the club's deep-rooted connection to its hometown.

These special-edition kits reflect Fortuna Düsseldorf's commitment to celebrating its rich history and cultural ties. By collaborating with local artists and honoring past legends, the club continues to strengthen its bond with supporters and the city of Düsseldorf, creating jerseys that resonate with fans and collectors alike
